My 24 plait nylon snakewhips are constructed in the same way as my standard 16 plait snakewhips, but with one key difference. Instead of 550 paracord (in 16 plait), the overlay is plaited with much thinner diameter 3/16in nylon Whipmaker’s Cord in 24 strands. Although the functionality of these 24 plait whips is nearly identical to that of my standard whips, the finer strand sizes allow for a higher plait count and more detailed work. Each whip contains a BB loaded core, two plaited bellies in 550 paracord, and a 24 plait overlay. At this time, colors in Whipmaker’s Cord are limited to 7 colors (please see table below).
